Efficient Pedaling Performance

Built for riding and racing, the RC703 utilizes new Power Zone lace guides that reduce overall weight and create a lower more aero profile. That’s combined with a low stack height midsole and stiff carbon outsole to deliver a stable pedaling platform for enhanced power transfer when it matters most.

Optimized Comfort and Cooling

Constructed with supple synthetic leather and a lightweight TPU mesh, the surround wrapping upper reduces unwanted friction. Strategically placed perforations increase ventilation, keeping you cool and comfortable when the race heats up. Dual L6Z dials allow for easy micro adjustments throughout your ride.

Total Forefoot/Midfoot Power Transfer!

"Whatever Shimano is doing in the footbed/forefront of this shoe is superior to other brands I have tried. Others: big toe/ball of foot dominates power transfer with outer foot feeling unsupported. Shimano: stomping on the pedals gets support across the forefoot, from big to little toe = just feels better and more balanced and more of more. I don't have power data to back all this up (I don't train to race), but it's a a noticeable difference, perhaps due in part to the top strap that distributes the BOA system evenly and holds the foot securely without pressure points or a tongue sliding around. Great shoe!"

Inner tongue creates pressure point

"I’ve been wearing this line of shoes for 10yrs, and decided it was time for the newest iteration of the RC’s, so I bought the 703’s. They have this thick inner tongue that, when clamped down with the boa, creates a very uncomfortable pressure point on my foot. I tried to break them in for a week or so, but nothing changed, so I returned them. Now I’m trying to find a different brand of shoe. Very disappointed."

"This is a lot of shoe for the money and glad that I went this route over more expensive shoes."

Very good riding shoe!

"The SH-RC703 meets my needs. Less price than the Sphere and fits well. I use a custom foot liner for more arch support and better fit."

RC7 replaced with RC7

"I have the previous generation RC7 that was damaged. I loved them so I replaced the with the newer generation. Texture is nice. I liked the solved accents on the old ones that are no longer applied. I had to buy the wide model. I first purchased the better looking new green version but Shimano only made them in narrow. Very disappointing."

Q&A

Hi.. what is the size difference in RC703 (43 size) & RC703 Wide (43 size) .. need to see which one will suit better for me.
Hello Gaurav, Shimano DYNALAST Wide models are not just standard shoes that have been stretched horizontally. Instead, wide sizes feature a larger circumference (about 9 to 10 mm compared to standard sizing) around the ball of the foot. This extra room accommodates more foot girth, especially around the metatarsal pad. Rather than just adding extra width in a two-dimensional way, Shimano’s wide sizing provides more space all around the ball of the foot for more comfort and control. You can visit our [DYNALAST page](https://ride.shimano.com/blogs/technologies/shimano-wide-shoe-sizes-explained?srsltid=AfmBOopmWiNWUKTS2yFT2ClbOjz--_P3g5k9kkmrX8WcNmjmbgONLdAU) for more details.
