Specially-formulated ULTREAD GF outsole utilizes a sticky, slow rebound, low temperature rubber compound that delivers optimal deformation performance in cool and cold weather conditions, enhancing pin engagement and shoe-to-pedal connection. Wide sole profile with hexagonal tread block pattern increases multi-direction stability for increased confidence and control in technical, rugged terrain.
Heavy duty synthetic leather upper, asymmetrically raised padded ankle collar, and sidewall sole protect against rock strikes and other trail impacts. Integrated sock-style upper employs waterproof GORE-TEX liner to keep elements at bay, while mid-cut ankle cuff keeps trail debris and mud out.

"Terrible design. First pair ripped inside from light use. I contacted Shimano and the rep said to “slow down” when I put the shoe on. The pair was replaced, but the same thing happened. Hard pass for me."

"These mtb flats are very comfortable flats. The seem to me to be true to size. I wear a summer sock under my winter wool bike sock. I went up one size. I had plenty of room for it. The Ultratread sticks to my pedals. Like the reflective material on the front and back of the sock liner upper."
