Borrowing design methods used in pro racing shoes, the RC502 features a carbon-reinforced nylon midsole for impressive stiffness and rigidity. The lower stack height helps to create a more stable pedaling platform, reducing foot movement and increasing power transfer from rider to road.

"Good shoe for the value. Boa works as it is designed. However, the binding strap seems to be non functional - with respect to providing additional tightening and support. Result is lots of room and no snugness causing my feet have some minor float/slopiness when pedaling. Could be a sizing issue. I've tried 44 and 45 in the RC 300 series which neither were a good fit. So I moved up to RC502. Bottom line, this will work for my current cyling regimen - cardio riding 48- 75 miles a week."

"This is my second Shimano shoe, my 1st one lasted 7+ years. The first one was a 47 this was a 48 but I think it was more my feet, they stretched due to my age, I'm a baby boomer I ride over 65 miles per week. So they may be true to size or slightly smaller."
